Journal of Conflict and Security Law                                                                             formerly known as Journal of Armed Conflict Law

Editors    Dr Nigel D White, University of Sheffield Professor                   Eric Myjer, University of Utrecht

The journal covers the whole spectrum of international law relating to armed conflict: from the pre-conflict stage when the issues include those of arms control, disarmament and conflict prevention, through the outbreak of armed conflict and discussions of the legality of resort to force (the jus ad bellum) to the coverage of the conduct of military operations and the protection of non-combatants by international humanitarian law (the jus in bello). Treatment is also given to the post-conflict stage where the legal issues include occupation, territorial administration, human rights protection, peacekeeping, compensation and disarmament. The Journal also covers terrorism as an issue that is relevant to all these stages.  The journal is read by academics,  government officials, military lawyers, military professionals, business people, peace organisations, researchers, commentators, and analysts.
